Youtube hates me.
Hello all you wonderful people!
Sadly, Youtube has been giving me attitude these past few days (it's probably just me doing something stupid) but still, I wanted to post you guys a video, but instead I will have to post a link to said video;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj0CK_jgNns
I have fallen head over heels in love with this amazing, AMAZING movie called Amelie. It's sweet, funny, sad, heartwarming, and just plain lovely, in its own unique way.
I honestly recommend watching the subtitled version instead of the dubbed, if you aren't fluent in french, because American accents do tend to take away from the beautiful parisian atmosphere.
And for those of you who (like me) can't get enough of the beautiful accent francais, here's a link to the trailer for the original French version, "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sECzJY07oK4
P.S. Please forgive my computer retardism; I still can't link things properly, and am apparently youtube-challenged, too. I will get the hang of it soon, though, I promise. (A.K.A. As soon as Z gets back and explains everything to me hehe...)

An alternative to taking it to the grave
Do you have a deep dark secret you need to get off your back, but don't know how?
Then Post Secret is the thing for you.
Post Secret is an ongoing community art project that anyone (even you) can be a part of. Basically, it consits of writing a secret of yours that you have never told anyone on the back of a handmade, 4-by-6-inch postcard, and mailing it to this adress;
PostSecret
13345 Copper Ridge Rd
Germantown, Maryland
20874
Isn't that an amazing idea?
Also, Frank Warren (the creator of the project) made a website displaying a few of the many postcards he receives every week.
Here's the link: http://postsecret.blogspot.com/
There you can find apologies, hopes, regrets, fears, desires, and even silly little confessions, all from real people like you and I.
The website is updated every sunday with twenty or so new secrets.

Runaway to Bali
I can't help dreaming of this amazing house that was featured a couple months ago in Cookie magazine. Not only is the architecture amazing but the furniture is absolutely lush !

Beautiful People
These amazing pics come from Vanity Fair and I just love them... A picture is worth a thousand words but I can't seem to find any other than gorgeous.
Hello darlings!
Z's messenger, Sarita speaking.
As you must know by now (after her trillion posts about it), Z has cruelly abandonned us for a while (we still love her though) and while her awesomness is away, I shall do my best to replace it by posting some of her stuff and maybe some of mine.
So don't fret, there will be more very cool stuff on here soon, just as soon as I figure out exactly how this works. (oh dear, wish me luck!)
Ta-ta for now,
Sarita.

Wordle rocks my World / Leaving so soon
Here is an awesome image that resumes my blog, and I thought it fitting since I was to announce my departure from you darlings for three weeks. But have no fear, I have arrangements with my amazing friend, Sarita. She will be managing the blog, writing occasional posts and acting as a messenger by posting some drafts I have written. Keep on checking my baby out, because it will be very well taken care of and almost nothing will change. Once I come back, my head will be filled with (often very) crazy ideas and I promise to bombard you with endless posts.
I wish you all well,
Z
xox
p.s. Miss you already!
p.p.s. I found wordle here
p.p.p.s. Be good!

Drive In to the 70s
We might be missing polaroids... but some things never die hard, like Drive in movies. It's much more than just watching a movie; It's sitting in the trunk of your old car with a really soft blankie and some warm popcorn, and watching a crappy movie on a REALLY big screen. Sounds amazing doesn't it ? I know.
You can find theatres near you on this convinient site... Yay!

Irresistible
Mary-Kate Olsen swiftly crossed to the good side of my lookbook with these beauties and I've followed her right down the knee-high gladiator lane. Surprisingly, they can be found for a very decent price at Bona Drag. You've seen gladiators all around town, but now its time to take a stand and show who REALLY knows how to wear them. Show the little gladiator-wannabes who's the boss !!

I sing, I swim - Seabear
I love this song, it instantly puts me into a nostalgic daze... I can just imagine driving out into the highway, rolling down the window, catching the first rays of sunshine and letting myself blown away...

Best of Sartorialist : Summer 2008
1.I admit that it’s hard to pull off billowy high-waisted pants and not look like a clown. With these sky-high heels, I give her an A.
2.Vintage. Belted. Curly-haired. Goddess.
3.This is my dream : cute puppy, vintage bike and a flowy white dress. Ahh, if only I didn’t stain white so easily !
4.Ray-bans, a blue cardigan and ruffle skirt? Please be my stylist now.
5.I love this picture not only for the outfit (which is pretty daring) but also for the visual aspect... not to mention we all know spidy rocks!
6.There’s nothing more beautiful than a flowy dress with high-top gladiators. Except for maybe her beautiful long hair.
All of these amazing outfits can be found here

My 13 year-old Idol
This short movie was sent to me via e-mail. It shows how easily people can make a difference; no matter what your age or your financial status, you could also silence the unied nations for 6 minutes. I want to thank these 4 girls for this beautiful video, because I know it must have taken all the courage and power they had. Pass it on and help people think about the big blue and green planet we call earth.
Where is the Time?
It's funny how even in the summer people end up being busy... Meanwhile here is a cool clock that pretty much represents my life right now, or as I see it anyways. I found it here. Have a good day!!
